How it all began…

Teal Penguin Kitchens started because of Jeannine’s quest to have healthy and tasty allergy friendly food free from eggs, milk, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, wheat, soy, and sesame. As someone who suffers from several food allergies, finding snacks and food that were safe to eat was difficult.

Jeannine had always dreamed of creating a brand that people could trust, but having no knowledge of the food industry, tabled the idea. It was not until July of 2023, when Rick and her were talking that they decided to make the safe snacks a reality.

In addition, she knows how isolating and anxiety inducing food allergies can be. The anxiety of eating at a restaurant or going to a party where you do not know or have control over what will be served. Not only do you sometimes have to make the choice not to participate, but sometimes, even in adulthood, bullying can occur from choosing not to eat at a party because you do not know the food ingredients.

Our mission is to eliminate the isolation of food allergy sufferers and bring everyone together with food that can be safely enjoyed by those with common food allergies and tasty enough that those without food allergies can enjoy as well.  -- Food for the whole family!
